Moxifloxacin uses

Introduction:
Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent with a broad spectrum of activity. It falls in the category of 4th generation. It has a better effects against gram-positive bacteria as compared to ciprofloxacin. 

Effects:

It has following effects. 

1.For the treatment of respiratory tract infections including acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.

2.Community-acquired pneumonia.

3.Acute bacterial sinusitis.

4.It is also indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections.

5.In contrast to several other fluoroquinolones, it appears to have a low propensity for causing phototoxic and central nervous system excitatory effects. Complicated intra abdominal infection.
